 THE BEGINNING

Poncho started playing vallenata music from a very young age,

becoming skilled on instruments such as the caja and the guacharaca,
while at the same time he distinguished himself as a composer and
verse artist. He recorded more than thirty albums in the company of
his brother Emiliano Zuleta Díaz, with whom he formed the
successful group Los Hermanos Zuleta.
 HIS FIRST TITLES
In 2006, the brothers Poncho and Emilianito became
the first group to win a Latin Grammy in the
Cumbia/Vallenato category.
His new love, 'frunita', has aroused the interest of
vallenato lovers, a young woman 42 years his junior. It
was only an advertisement for a song, but it was a
nationally recognized theme.
