(A)Indicating Time

Time is indicated mainly by at. on, in. during, by. and for.
(A)1. At

* At का प्रयोग जब हमें बहुत छोटा समय लेकिन विशिष्ट समय के बारे में बताना हो तो At का उपयोग करते हैं।
* At का प्रयोग जब हमें विशिष्ट समय जैसे कि Noon, Midnight, New Year’s,
6:00 AM., 7:00 O’clock आदि के लिए करते हैं।
आइये उदाहरण के द्वारा समझें :
1. मुझे सुबह स्कू ल जाना है।
1. I have to go to school in the morning.
2. सोनम शाम को बाजार गयी थी।

(A)2. On

* On का प्रयोग जब हमें समय की छोटी या विशेष समय या दिन, तिथियों और छु ट्टियों के बारे में बात करने के
लिए On का उपयोग करते हैं।
* On का प्रयोग जैसे कि Christmas day, Independence day,
Republic day, 15th May, My birthday आदि के लिए इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
(A)3. In

* In का प्रयोग जब हमें समय की लंबी अवधि के बारे में बताना हो तो In का इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
* In का प्रयोग समय की लंबी अवधि जैसे कि Months, Years, Decades or
Centuries के लिए करते हैं।

(i) By is used to denote the ultimate point by which something was
or is to be completed.
I have to complete the work by Monday.
(A)6. For
For is used before a time phrase to denote that so much time has
passed during which an action or a situation continued.
I have not seen him for two years.
