 Telnet Server Setup for Handy Terminal Enterprise Information Solu

Steps to setup Telnet Server

1. Windows Server version 2012 required for Telnet Server

or another alternate option is to used existing SAP Print Server as Telnet Server

2. Need to have SAPgui installer files and install the SAPgui in Telnet server as normal like client PC. Desktop\saplogon.ini

3. After installation copy the “SAPgui.ini” file to “C:\Windows”.  Where is file SAPgui.ini

4. Install SAPConsole into the Telnet Server, the “SAPConsoleSetup.exe” is in the “50139435_6.ZIP”
the path  BD_NW_7.0_Presentation_7.50_Comp._1_  PRES1  SAPCONSOLE  NT_I386 or NT_X64 (depends
on server OS 32 or 64 bits)  SAPConsoleSetup.exe.

5. Then Execute SetupAll.exe at the “50139435_6.ZIP” the path  BD_NW_7.0_Presentation_7.50_Comp._1_  PRES1

 SAPCONSOLE  NT_I386 or NT_X64 (depends on server OS 32 or 64 bits)  SetupALL.exe.

5. First create a Telnet user ID and password (never expired) in AD for HT autologin to Telnet Server (e.g. User ID :
“VN_Telnetuser” and password : “Telnet2019”)

6. Install Telnet Server in Windows 2012 Telnet Server using Windows features below:-
Click at Control panel  programs and features  Turn the windows feature on  features  Select “Telnet Server”
then click install.

7. Change the Profile configuration at “SAP Console Administrator” under the install directory execute Profile.exe.

8. Activate Telnet service “Start  Control Panel  Administrative Tools  Services  Telnet Services  Start the services”

9. To confirm Telnet working, execute “Sapcnsl.exe” in the install directory to show up Telnet logon screen

10. If you check "SAPLogon Selection", it will list up all entries in SAPgui.ini assign Transaction Code for Handy Terminal.

11. Change Telnet configuration to call SAPConsole. Look into C:\WINDOWS\system32 directory. Search for login.cmd file.
Replace to file with command below:

SAPconsole directory
