LUKE 2:1-7

What Do We Have To Be Thankful For:


1. We are to be thankful to God for our
government (vs.1-3)
2. We are to be thankful to God for our
parentage (vs.4-7)
God has a purpose why He put you in your
family. You are not an accident.

God has personally designed you to be what


and who you are to be.

And God has never made a mistake in


His design (Psalm 139, esp. v.14).
In His wisdom, God has
perfectly placed us in the
protection of our imperfect
family.
What Do We Have To Be Thankful For:
1. We are to be thankful to God for our
government (vs.1-3)
2. We are to be thankful to God for our
parentage (vs.4-7)
3. We are to be thankful to God for Jesus
(v.7)
4. We are to be thankful to God for His
Majesty (vs.1-7)
Majesty: sovereign power,
authority, grandeur, and
dignity.

What are the benefits of being thankful:
1. It takes out the complaining attitude
from our hearts.

Thankfulness wipes clean a


complaining heart and makes you
healthy.
When you complain, you increase your
levels of cortisol, also known as the
stress hormone. Chronically high levels
of cortisol can lead to a variety of health
problems, including increased risk of
depression, digestive problems, sleep
issues, higher blood pressure and even
increased risk of heart disease. (a clinical
study).
What are the benefits of being thankful:
1. It takes out the complaining attitude
from our hearts.
2. It helps us to look forward.
We are not confined to the present unpleasant
situation but we are anticipating for something
good that will come out from the bad situation
as a result of our faith in God. Thankfulness
develops our faith in God.
What are the benefits of being thankful:

3. It helps us to be contented and
resourceful.
Contentment converts a sad
situation into a happy
environment and a God
glorifying place (see v.20).

Christmas is a time to be thankful.

Hayaan nating mapuno ng


pasasalamat sa Diyos ang ating
mga puso.
Hayaan nating punuin ng Diyos ng
pasasalamat ang ating mga puso.
Itakwil mo ang mga bagay na
magdudulot sa iyo ng inggit sa kapwa
at pagkahabag sa iyong sarili.

Ituon ang pansin sa Diyos na patuloy na


gumagawa ng kabutihan at tumutupad
sa Kanyang mga pangako.
Be thankful and be grateful.
Be happy and be healthy.

Say, “Thank, You, Lord” in all


circumstances.
