Ruchira Papers Limited was incorporated on December 8, 1980.The Company was promoted by Shri Umesh Chandra Garg, Shri Jatinder Singh and Shri Subhash Chandra Garg. Location The works and the registered office is located at Village Kala-Amb of District Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh adjoining Haryana State and Administrative office at 2122, New Professor Colony, Yamuna Nagar (Haryana).

OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS

Opportunities:
Due to the ecological problems caused by usage of plastic materials, paper is becoming the most favored option for packaging. The Company being located in Himachal Pradesh is presently entitled to 100 % excise duty exemption up to June, 2013 in respect of Kraft Paper The Company has also set up 100 TPD Writing & Printing Paper unit, which is also entitled for 100 % excise exemption for next 10 years with effect from 30.03.2008 (the date of start of commercial production). It is also entitled for 100 % income tax exemption with effect from Assessment Year 2008-09 for the next five years and thereafter 30 % exemption for the next five years. The company has also set up Power Cogeneration Plant, which helps the company to get the cheap and uninterrupted power supply. Further the location of the factory at the outskirts of Himachal Pradesh helps to get raw material of agro wastes from the neighboring agricultural rich states of Haryana and Punjab.

Threats: Due to liberalization in paper sector, foreign companies have also been allowed an entry. Thus there could be investments in the paper industry from foreign players.
