ISSUE HIGHLITED SECOND POINT .

◦ A 28-year-old male information technology manager came ◦ Your Findings

to an optometric clinic and reported the increased of the
eye fatigue and dry eyes. He had previously consulted his ◦ Answers
physician but it was found to be in a good health .The eye ◦ Explanation
examination suggested he had a normal eye and some
vision conditions . However based on his clinical history, ◦ Data Compilation
which was revealed with an extensive computer which is

used with an infrequent breaks, he was diagnosed with a
computer version syndrome (CVS) with transient near- ◦ Information Gathering
sightdness . His eye fatigue and dry eyes were associated
with two factors :Working for a 8 hours or more a day at
the computer during previous 12 months , without taking
breaks to allow both of the eye sites to rest focus on distant
objects .
◦ Workstation environment should be suitable for the information technology
manager . Lighting should be adequate for the task and correctly positioned, so that
the information technology manager does not strain his eyes quickly. Try to limit
glare from overhead lights, desk lamps and windows .
◦ The information manager should maintain a safe distance between his eyes and the
screen because if his eyes is too close to the screen , the parts of his eyes will be
function in a lower rate . For example his retina which controls the movement of
light in his eyes will not be functioning at the highest level without any help from
other lens .
◦ The information manager should take more breaks during his working periods
because he cant be staring at the computer screen for a continuous period of time .
The human body has when doing any activities. For example none human being can
stare at the computer for more than 6 hours. The information technology manager
should send a request letter to the hierarchy of the company that he should take
more breaks during his working periods to protect the health of his both eye sides .
EXAMPLES .
DATA COMPLICATION RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ERGONOMICS
AND SAFETY HEALTH WORKPLACE

◦ Ergonomics is the study of the relationship

between people and their work environments
which is very important to both safety and
health. In an ergonomic workplace tasks and
tools are designed to fit individual capabilities
and limitations so people can do their jobs
without being injured .
◦ Ergonomics allows people working in the
office to have the most minimum risk of
affecting our health .
Describe how element of ergonomics involve in the situations affects
an ergonomics factor .
◦ Element of ergonomic is physical . Ergonomic factor that I affected is awkward posture .The physical element of
ergonomic will affect a certain area where it turns into an awkward posture. Firstly, the awkward posture
happens because people sit in a position which does not comfort their body in this case the information
technology manager has sat down in a position which has affected his eyes massively. In the images below it
shows that on the left of his position is wrong because he does not maintain a safe distance between his eyes
and the screen. However on the right-hand-side you can see that there is a fixed or safe distance between the
eyes and the screen .
◦ The second element of ergonomic is organizational . Ergonomic factor that is affected is forceful motion. Firstly,
the forceful motion happens because people have to force themselves to do tasks that they cant physically do
because of the fact of the organization or hierarchy will reject any of the proposals that is received by the people
who work below them. This is why the people below suffer from injuries physically and mentally .
CONCLUSION

It is important to apply the ergonomics standards to keep a healthy

live. We'll have spend a lot of time at work, studying, etc. While
ergonomics is a relative new field of study,it is acquiring relevance
worldwide. More companies are applying ergonomics policies.
Probably some day will be mandotary. We need to think about how
we working, about our postures and habits. It is always a good time
to learn and improve. Ergonomics helps people to be more
comfortable at work, reducing stress and injury caused by incorrect
positioning and repetitive tasks. As a good user, we need to use
ergonomics because it give big influence in our life.
