Introduction

 Our project is automatic plant watering system using Arduino board. This project
works by using a soil moisture sensor to detect moisture level in the soil when
moisture level of soil drops below a certain value, the system will operate water
pump to provide necessary water for plants until required moisture level is again
achieved.
 Aim of our project is to make process of watering plants more efficient, hassle
free and also reduce the wastage of water.
Material Required

To build this project, we will need the following materials:

 Arduino Board
 Soil Moisture Sensor
 Water Pump
 Relay Module
 Jumper Wires
 Breadboard
 Power Supply
 Water tubing and nozzle
 Plants to water
Project Progress Update
 Circuit design:
We have designed the circuit for the project, which includes an Arduino board, soil
moisture sensor, relay module, water pump, and power supply. We have also tested
the circuit and ensured that it works properly. As Shown below
Project Progress Update

 Programming:
We have written the Arduino code for the project, which includes the setup and loop
functions. The code reads the analog value from the soil moisture sensor, compares it
with a predefined threshold value, and activates the water pump if the value is below
the threshold.
 Prototype testing:
We have built a prototype of the system and tested it with a small plant. We have
observed that the system works as expected, and the plant is watered whenever the
moisture level in the soil falls below the threshold value
Way Forward

 Building a final product:

We plan to build a final product of the system, which will be more compact and
aesthetically pleasing. We will use high-quality materials to ensure that the system is
durable and long-lasting.
 Testing the final product:
We will test the final product to ensure that it meets our expectations and performs
well under various conditions. We will also gather feedback from users to identify
any areas for improvement.
Conclusion

We have made good progress on our semester project, the automatic plant watering
system using Arduino. We are excited to continue working on the project and making
it even better. Thank you for your attention, and please let us know if you have any
questions or suggestions.
