The main task of the project will be to measure parameters of the soil such as moisture
level of soil, humidity, temperature of environment.
• After collection of the data, the sensor will send collected data to a server where the
data is to be processed and send relevant instruction to the mobile application in such
a way that it shows status.
• Weather monitoring can help cut costs, product higher crop yield , and prevent over
or under watering.
• It also acts as a moisture detector system around the plants and crops to determine if
there is enough moisture around the growth. This system also acts as an alerting
system when human intervention is needed so that they can take care of the produce,
crops and plants when and if needed .
Problem Statement
Control the Water pump of irrigation system and Monitor all parameters (temp.
humidity, soil moisture level, pump status) which handle the different activities
to farm provide useful information associated with Soil moisture, Temperature
and Humidity content due to the atmosphere condition, water level managed by
farmers in both automatic / manual using that mobile application. The
consumption of water increase day by day that may leads to the problem of
water scarcity .Becoming quite difficult for them Irrigation system can be
summarized as the need for efficient and sustainable methods of delivering water
to crop or landscape.
Objective of Project
• One of the main benefits of IoT systems in irrigation is associated with the lower
water consumption.
• Farm irrigation technology uses weather data or soil moisture data to determine
the irrigation need of the landscape.
• This automatic irrigation system the moisture content of the soil and automatically
switches the pump when the power in on.

Scope of Project
1. IoT solutions enables the farmer to know real time weather conditions. The
sensors placed in the farm irrigation fields collect data from the
environment that is used by the farmers choose a crop that can grow in
particular climatic condition
2. The main scope of this project by using IoT performs the agricultural basic
activities such detect climatic condition in which temperature and
humidity of the surrounding.
3. Farm irrigation System extends watering time for plants and provides ideal
growth conditions
4. It saves time and as per agriculture or environmental condition can be
added for automatic watering

The ESP32 micro controller is a versatile and powerful module that can be used as a
Wi-Fimodule for IoT applications. he ESP32 also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,
making it compatible with a wide range of Wi-Fi networks. To sense the temperature,
humidity, and moisture levels, we will attach a DHT11 sensor and a moisture sensor
module to the ESP32
The ESP32 will then use the built-in Wi-Fi to send this data to the cloud, where it
can be accessed and analyzed in real-time. To sense the temperature, humidity, and
moisture levels , we will attach a DHT11 sensor and a moisture sensor module to the
ESP32.
DHT11
The DHT11 is a low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor module that
is commonly used in various applications such as home automation , weather
stations, and agricultural monitoring The module is small and easy to use,
making it an ideal choice for applications where space is limited
Moisture Sensor
The soil moisture sensor is a device used to measure the moisture content
of soil. It is commonly used in agricultural and gardening applications to
ensure that plants receive the right amount of water. The sensor consists
of two probes that are inserted into the soil and it works by measuring the
resistance of the soil between the probes. The higher the moisture

Hardware Requirement
Advantages :
1. Reduced labour .
2. Timely irrigation — plants being watered when needed.
3. Management of higher flow rates .
4. Accurate cut-off of water compared to manual checking .
5. Reduced runoff of water and nutrients.
6. Reduced costs for vehicles used to check irrigation.
7. Save water and money.
Disadvantages:
1. Costs for purchasing, installing and maintaining the equipment .
2. Reliability of irrigation system (due to human error when setting up).
3. Increased maintenance of channels and equipment to ensure it is working
properly.
