THE SCHOOL HISTORY


El Salvador City National High School is situated
200 meters from the National Highway. It has started
its operation last June 2017. The school is situated at
Zone 3, Poblacion, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental.
Currently, the secondary school is catering grade 7,
grade 8, grade 9, grade 10 learners and grade 11
learners.

The school had its first year of operation last June 5, 2017. With
the earnest desire of the division of El Salvador City to build a
public learning institution within the heart of the city, the dream
was then realized with the collaborative efforts of our government
officials, namely: Dr. Allan G. Farnazo, OIC Superintendent and
Regional Director in Region X, City Mayor Edgar S. Lignes, Barangay
Capt. Edwin M. Maña, City councilor, Erwin E. Magrina, Chairman
Committee of Education, and Ms. Sonia E. Pagapulaan, as School-
In-Charge.

With her, were five (5) female teachers who catered the One
Hundred Twenty-Eight (128) learners in Grade 7. Due to movement
and reshuffling of stations by the school heads, the second year
(SY 2018-2019) of operation was administered by Ms. Doreen P.
Martinez, School-In-Charge, and ten (10) faculty to cater the Three
Hundred Forty-four (344) learners in Grade 7 and Grade 8. Another
year of reshuffling of stations, the school’s third year of operation
(SY 2019-2020) was being managed by Ms. Rebecca B. Namoc,
School Principal, and with her were seventeen (17) faculty
members for the Five Hundred Ninety-Six (596) learners in Grade
7, Grade 8 and Grade 9 levels.

Aside from one (1) clerk who has been in the position from the start of its
operation, the Local Government Unit, headed by our City Mayor, Edgar S.
Lignes, allotted two (3) watchmen to safeguard our school during day and
night. In the S.Y. 2020-2021, under the same management, the learners’
population have raised to Eight Hundred Seventy-four (874) already catering
from Grades 7, 8, 9 and 10. Seven (7) faculty members has been added to
make the strong force. Currently, (S.Y. 2021-2022) with the same
management, the learners’ population have raised to One Thousand One
Hundred Twenty-six (1126) already catering Grades 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
Presently, El Salvador City National High School have 26 teachers, 3
watchmen, 1 school clerk and 1 utility personnel/janitor.

Mrs. Rebecca B. Namoc, the School Principal extended her full
effort for the full swing of operation with an increasing number of
population in this school year. The institution is proud to say that in
its first year of operation, it has served many students in some
feeders schools within the area and excel in some different fields
of concentration especially in Journalism, Arts and Sports because
we have sent students from grade 7 to the Regional Athletic Meet
and regional Press Conference.

The administration, staff, and stakeholders,
jointly work hand in hand in their commitment,
to give quality basic education to our learners
thru distant education like online classes or
modular type of learning, a streamline of
program of instruction of the academe amidst
the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Thus, the continuous effort among stakeholders,


teachers, local government and the Department
of Education anchored on its mission and vision
would bring favorable accomplishment.
