the world by flood.
But, we must do our promise to Him
by respecting life.
As the sign of our covenant, a
rainbow was seen over the sky as a
reminder of God’s promise to us and
our obligation to God.
Abraham

Be Blameless
Before, Abraham and
Sarah(his wife) don’t have
any child. As he shows his
faithfulness in God, God
promised him to have
descendants as many as
the stars.
God tested Abraham’s faithfulness like
sacrificing his son, Isaac. As Abraham
showed his faithfulness to God, He
stopped Abraham from sacrificing his
son to God.
But, we must follow and walk
with Him and be blameless and
remain faithful in Him.
As the sign of our
covenant,
circumcision is
performed as mark
of being the
descendant of
Abraham, God’s
chosen one.

Land. They stopped at Mt. Sinai
Moses received the Ten
Commandments and presented to
His people as His sign of His Love.
Before Moses dies, he asks God to
choose a leader for His people…. God
chooses Joshua to lead the Israelites to
the Promised Land
God chooses men and women- patriarchs,
judges, kings, prophets and wise men… They
made special relationship to Him with His
People.
However, it requires a
responsible response to His
word.

What is a Bible?
• Came from the word “biblia” meaning
books
• It is the collection of ancient writings
about God.
How does the Bible came to be?
• It started with storied handed down
through oral communication
• The Old Testament was originally written
in Hebrew and translated in Greek in 2nd
to 3rd Century BC
How does the Bible came to be?
• The New Testament is written in the
second half of 1st Century
• The Bible is written through the
inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

• They used many literary forms (myth,


history, law, songs etc.)
