Ramadan

Not Eating and Drinking

 In the Islamic practices the word sawm has been used for “Fasting” or “Roza” which is
Arabic dictionary means to stop i.e: Eating, Drinking, speaking and moving. But in Islamic
terminology it means willful abstinence from Eating, Drinking, and copulation by a Muslim
adult from dawn to sunset.
 Almighty Allah has fixed the period of fasting for the full month of Ramadan, the month in
which the “Holy Quran” was revealed. Prayers are designed to regulate every day of life
where as fasting confined to the month of Ramadan.
 Fasting brings enormous benefits for the Muslim community. During the month of Ramadan
the rich people spend generously on the poor to seek the blessings of Allah. This enables the
poor to receive enough founds to meet their needs for at least a part of the year.
BENEFITS OF FASTING

 Scientists have to proved that fasting during the specific hours of the day in the whole month of Ramadan, brings
healthy outcomes.
 Muslims it is obligatory to observe fast during Ramadan.as a result, it reduces the risk of developing heart diseases.
 Fasting for a whole month during the month of Ramadan, stimulate the production of new white blood cells.
