2.1. The Beginning: Title Page

• Title of the Topic


• Relation of the report to a degree course or organisational requirement

• Name of the researcher

• Name of the supervisor

• Name of the institutions where the report is to be submitted

• The date and year of submission

Acknowledgements should include a short statement of the problem followed


by the list of people who have extended help in conducting the study.As far as
possible it should be simple and specific.

• Contents

A table of contents indicates the logical division of the report into


various sections, sub sections and chapters
It should indicate the page reference for each chapter or sections
and sub sections on the right hand side of the table. The contents
till the start of the first chapter are given roman numerals i,ii etc.

The list of Tables contains the exact title of the table, table no and page no

List of tables is usually in capital letters

Here we should not write No (i.e number) either with the table or with the
page

Glossary

• A Glossary is a short dictionary, explaining the technical terms and


phrases which are used in special connotation by the author.
• Written in capital letters.
• Entries are made in alphabetical order.
• It may come in the introductory pages although it usually comes after
the Bibliography.

APP : Average Physical Productivity or average productivity of a factor.
It is the output per unit of a factor of production.
MPP: Marginal Physical productivity of a factor. It is the addition to
total output for the use of an additional unit of factor.
