OBJECTIVE

 To provide awareness about the quality of drinking water to

the people
 To make sure the concern water is drinkable or non drinkable
or should be used for agricultural purposes
 To sustain quality of life, it is imperative to detect water
pollutants causing contamination

INTRODUCTION

 Hazardous of various category are collapsed with the drinking

water which arrives through industrialization, globalization,
urbanization, agriculture etc. It is a need to check the water
regularly using agile technologies.
 Water characteristics including pH, npk, and temperature must
first be estimated in order to prevent pollution because
changes in these parameters' values indicate the presence of
contaminants.
 Here all the main characteristics of water is checked and it will
be classified according to the usage.

EXSISTING METHOD

12/06/2023 SNS College of Technology/IV ECE A/ BATCH 14 6

EXSISTING METHOD DESCRIPTION

 The existing system collects the data from temperature,

turbidity, level and pH sensor to measure water quality
 It monitors the data from all over the world, IoT environment
is provided using raspberry pi.
 The system can predict the drinkable water quality and
displays the reading on the monitor and also avoids the waste
water flow

PROPOSED METHOD

12/06/2023 SNS College of Technology/IV ECE A/ BATCH 14 8

PROPOSED METHOD DESCRIPTION

 This project is a continuous measurement of water conditions based

on physical and chemical parameters i.e., Turbidity, pH and npk
properties
 Here the parameters are measured, the water is classified and they
are monitored in the ubidots app, an IoT based monitoring app
 If the pH level and npk level and the turbidity level is normal then
the mail will be like "the water is drinkable“
 If the pH level and the turbidity level is normal and the npk level is
higher then the mail will be like "the water is used for agricultural
and gardening purposes"
 If the pH level and the turbidity level is higher then the mail will be
like "the water is non drinkable and it can be used for washing and
bathing purposes"

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

 To prevent the water pollution, first we have to estimate the water

parameters like pH, turbidity, npk as the variations in the values of these
parameters.
 We have identified a suitable implementation model that consist of
different sensor devices and other modules.
 In this implementation model we used Arduino Uno, using this
Embedded C language in Arduino Uno to run program.
 We have implemented three types of sensors and fixed with Arduino Uno
to execute the output. Implementing our project in ubidots to view the
graph of all the parameter values.
 Using our project many people can gain and used in many places like
public places, office, other field technologies.

CONCLUSION AND FUTURE WORK

 The device can automatically check the quality of the water, is

inexpensive, and does not need anyone to be on duty.
 Testing the quality of the water should therefore be more
affordable, practical, and quick. The method is very adaptable.
 Other water quality criteria can only be monitored with this
system by updating the required sensors and software
applications.
 In future the additional chemical sensors can be used and the
email alert can be updated to a message alert to be managed
easily
