• The company must have pest control program and the
activities must be documented. The activities must be
done by competent company, preferably.
• Baits, traps, fly killer must be monitored at least
four times a year.
• The location of the baits, traps, fly killers must be
appropriate so that these will not endanger the
food product due dead pest or chemicals.
• Incoming materials that are prone to pest infestation
need to be thoroughly so that no pests are introduced
to the factory.
 Control of Operation

• Food companies must establish their quality

system (covers quality assurance and quality
control) in order to control the operation. SOP
must be documented and followed by employers
and employees.
 Training

• Example of trainings : hygiene training, job related training, food safety training,
HALAL, HACCP, leadership training, team-working, new technology training etc.

• The company must have procedures for inspections of incoming products,
inspection of transport vehicles, loading and unloading, storage, returned
and defective products, allergen control, chemical storage and waste
management.
