Introduction

I'll be talking about the project in my ASM 1 post today.

Determine the cybersecurity threats that enterprises must
contend with, the individuals or entities that put those
threats in motion, Determine the most typical hazards that
a business will face. includes three security measures for
your firm and gives a review of some of the security
procedures used by your company. The Firewall
Definitions, Policies, Usage, and Benefits sections go
over the scheme firewalls use to secure networks.
Definition of IDS, usage examples, and network risk
diagram as a result of improper firewall and IDS settings.
Examples of DMZ, Static IP, and NAT implementations
demonstrate how each can improve the safety of the
given network.

P1
Identify types of
security threat to
organizations
1. Define threats (Computer)

A threat is typically defined as someone or something

that poses a risk of harm or danger. A computer threat,
as used in computer security, is a potential risk that
could exploit a weakness to compromise security and
perhaps do harm. A computer threat is any action that
has the potential to harm private or other data belonging
to a person, organization, or system through theft,
manipulation, or other means. This can be more
succinctly described as illegal access to system data that
results in harm to it
2. Identify threats agents to organizations
Nation States: Companies that engage in specific industries, such as telecom, oil and
gas, mining, power production, and national infrastructure, may become targets for
foreign countries, either to disrupt operations today or to give that nation a hold in
the future during difficult times.

Non-target specific: Many businesses have claimed that they won't be a target for
hackers because. Unfortunately, there are so many random attacks happening every day
that any company may become a victim.

Employees and Contractors: Simple errors like sending an email to the wrong person
sometimes occur, but most of the time, people are able to recognize the error and
correct it without too much difficulty. These errors can be lessened by taking easy
steps like password-protecting data.
2. Identify threats agents to organizations
Terrorists and Hacktivists: The level of threat these agents pose depends on your actions,
much like the threat posed by nation states. Yet, some terrorists aim their attacks towards
particular nations or industries, so there is always a chance that you could be the victim
of a random strike.
Organized crime: Criminals seek personal data for a variety of offenses, including
bank account fraud, identity theft, and credit card fraud. These crimes are now
routinely committed on a large scale.
Natural disasters: While not being cyber attacks, these occurrences might have a
similar overall impact on your ability to conduct business. You are still dealing with a
data disaster if you are unable to access your offices, data centers, or cloud-based files,
and this needs to be considered.
2. Identify threats agents to organizations
