Region III Introducti
on
• Region III, also known as Central Luzon, has 7 provinces and 14
cities.
• The province are Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija,
Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales
• This region is also renowned as a wealthy one because of its food
production
• The majority of the nation's rice is produced here, giving the region
the nickname "Rice Bowl of the Philippines."

• The current name of the area refers to where it located on the island
of Luzon. The term was created by American colonialists following
the collapse of the First Philippine Republic. There have been calls
for the current Central Luzon region to be renamed Luzones. The
proposed name is a reference to the island of Luzon's original
spelling, Luçes, which came to be used to identify its central
section, which runs from Pangasinan in the north to Pampanga in
the south. Literally, Luçes means "Luzones."

country's biggest producer of rice

• Aurora is a province that is situated in Central
Luzon's eastern region
• Its capital is Baler
• It was once a part of the Quezon province before
1979.
• the word "Aurora" comes from the wife of former
president Manuel L. Quezon, Aurora Aragon
Due to its proximity to the
Philippine Sea to the east
and the Sierra Mountain
Ranges to the west, the
province is mountainous
with coastal flatlands.
BULACAN
• The province of Bulacan is located in
Central Luzon's southern region
• Its capital city is Malolos, and was
established in 1578
• Bulacan is a province with a rich history.
• Bulacan boasts a diverse topography.
• San Jose del Monte, Meycauayan, and
Malolos City are its three main cities.
• highest peak of Bulacan is in Mount Oriod which is part of the
Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges.
• Angat River and the Pampanga River are the two notable rivers
in Bulacan
• Tagalog is the primary Language of Bulakenyos
• The original people of Bulacan, Alta Kabulowan are located at
the three municipalties (San Miguel, Don Remedios Trinidad,
and Nozagaray)
