WRITING
Audience and Purpose
 Read the task and ask yourself these
questions:

 Who am I writing for?

 What am I trying to do?


Structure
 Obviously, you need to have an introduction, main body and
conclusion.

 Beginning: This should state clearly what side you are on


and be attention grabbing

 Main Body: You should make about 5 points for your


argument. Put them into the most logical order, paragraph
them and link them together using connectives.

 Conclusion: Make sure this really makes an impact! This is


your last chance to make your case!

persuasive techniques. We will start by looking at
