A glacier is a large landform made from many layers of compacted snow,

making ice over hundreds of years. It has many features which are:
snow line, lateral moraine, terminal moraine, meltwater streams. As
they move downhill due to the force of gravity, they erode the
landscape around them and pluck sediments out of the ground. It also
does something called freeze thaw which is when melted water freezes
inside the cracks of stones causing them to break apart into smaller
pieces. Glaciers are usually found in mountain ranges or the Antarctic or
Antarctica. Glaciers are important as they can provide us with many
useful resources and also if you live near one, you are able to get fresh
water from it.
