FRAMEWORK
Introduction

 Constituition of India was adoptedby “The


Constituent Assembly”on 26th November,1949
and come into effect from 26th January, 1950.
 It includes 395 articles and10 schedules.
Directive Principles of State Policy

 State shall strive to promote the welfare of the


people by securing social law and order in all the
instituitions
 Promote equalities in income, status, facilities
and opportunities among all the regions
 State shall ensure operation of legal system,
promotion of justice, provide legal aid

 Organising and empowering village panchayats


 State should make provisions for securing the
right to work, to education and public assistance
in cases of unemployment, old age, sickness and
disablement
 State ensures just and humane conditions for
work and maternity relief

 State should make an effort to secure to all


workers a living wage, decent standards of
working conditions along with leisure and social
opportunities(cottage industries)
 Steps should be taken to ensure workers
participation in management
 Should protect backward classes from social
injustice

 Improvement of public health by raising nutrition


level and standard of living
 Organising agricultural sector and animal
husbandry on scientific lines
 To safeguard forests and wildlife and protect
environment
 Equal pay for equal work for men and women
