Computer System

 What is Booting (बूटिंग क्या है?)
•Starting a computer or computer-embeded device is called booting.
कं प्यूटर या कं प्यूटर-एंबेडेड डिवाइस को स्टार्ट करना बूटिंग कहलाता है।

•Booting Steps (बूटिंग चरण) :

1) Switching on power supply.

बिजली का बटन ऑन करना।

2) Loading operating system into computer main memory.

. ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम को कं प्यूटर की मुख्य मेमोरी में लोड करना।

3) Keeping all application in a state of readiness in case of needed by the user.

. उपयोगकर्ता द्वारा जरूरत के मामले में सभी एप्लीके शन को तत्परता की स्थिति में रखना।
 Process of Booting (बूट करने की प्रक्रिया)
• The first program or set of instructions that run when the computer is
switched on is called BIOS (Basic Input Output System).
पहला प्रोग्राम या निर्देशों का सेट जो कं प्यूटर को चालू करने पर चलता है,
BIOS (बेसिक इनपुट आउटपुट सिस्टम) कहलाता है।

• BIOS is a firmware.
. BIOS एक फर्मवेयर है।
 What is Rebooting(रिबूटिंग क्या है?)

• Restarting a system when it is already running is called Rebooting.

. एक सिस्टम को फिर से शुरू करना, जब यह पहले से चल रहा है तो इसे रिबूटिंग कहा जाता है।

• Rebooting may be required if:

रिबूटिंग की आवश्यकता हो सकती है अगर:
1) a software or hardware has been installed in computer.
. कं प्यूटर में एक सॉफ्टवेयर या हार्डवेयर स्थापित किया गया है
. 2) computer system is being unusually slow.
. कं प्यूटर सिस्टम असामान्य रूप से धीमा हो रहा है।
 Types of Booting (बूटिंग के प्रकार):
• Two types of booting occur in computer system:
कं प्यूटर सिस्टम में दो प्रकार के बूटिंग होती हैं:
1) Cold Booting: System is started by switching on the power supply. The next step of cold booting is loading of BIOS
in the system.
कोल्ड बूटिंग: बिजली की आपूर्ति पर स्विच ऑन करके सिस्टम शुरू किया गया है। कोल्ड बूटिंग का अगला चरण BIOS का
सिस्टम में लोडिंग है।
2) Warm Booting : When the system is already running and needs to be restarted or rebooted, it is called warm
booting.
वार्म बूटिंग: जब सिस्टम पहले से चल रहा होता है और उसे फिर से चालू या रिबूट करने की आवश्यकता होती है, तो इसे
वार्म बूटिंग कहा जाता है।
Note : Warm booting is faster than cold booting.
. वार्म बूटिंग, कोल्ड बूटिंग से तेज है।
