Main Point Or Problems
1. Low visibility:

One of the key challenges for online sellers is


getting their products noticed among the vast number of listings
available on platforms like Lazada.

2. Limited product differentiation:

If your products are similar to those offered by many other sellers,


it becomes challenging to differentiate yourself and convince
customers to choose your store over other competitors.
Solution
a) Solution
Utilise the friend functionality Lazada possesses:
1. Showing a section in the “home” featuring what friends have purchased
(“your friends have bought it”)
2. Left an icon of friends’ profile picture on somewhere around the header
of the product after the friend has purchased and received the product.

b) What is innovative about the solution or product? 


1. Friends are the safe zone of the buyer, giving buyers more trustable
reason for considering the product
2. Communication between friends will share detailed insights, therefore
persuasion becomes easier
3. Friends might share similar interest; therefore “section” can improve
visibility for the product in a community.

a) What is the Customer Segment you are targeting?
Customer Segment: Social connectors
Using the bonds of friends to increase the visibility and
trustworthy of a product, making the product stand out
significantly among other products.

b) The specific benefits to the customer segment?


 Buyers can seek their friends for advice and sincere
experience, helping them to determine the worth of the
product
Market Share and User Base
• According to a report by iPrice Group, Lazada had a slight lead in 2020 with a 36.9%
market share, while Shopee was close behind with a 33.5% market share.

• However, when it comes to user base, Shopee has a slight advantage with over 200
million downloads compared to Lazada's 190 million downloads.

The product from a seller that is trusted by the people are more likely
outstanding than the others, especially when we can provide a trust that
comes from their friends.

b) How do you make money?


By implementing these strategies, E-commerce businesses can gain
advantageous results. merchants can substantially increase their
conversion rates, stimulate sales expansion, and provide a shopping
experience that's more customized and reliable for their consumers.
Therefore, the customer will be more attracted to buy.
