APPENDIX
Annual Report:

performance has been declining in recent years. In
FY2022, the company reported a net loss of
₹2,864 crore, compared to a net profit of ₹144
crore in FY2017. This decline in profitability is due
to a number of factors, including the rising cost of
doing business, the increasing competition from
online retailers, and the company's debt burden.
Business operations: The company's business
operations have also been impacted by the
challenges facing the retail industry. In recent
years, there has been a decline in footfall in brick-
and-mortar stores, as consumers increasingly shift
their shopping online. This has led to a number of
closures of Future Group's stores.
Debt burden: The company's debt burden is a
major concern. As of March 2022, the company's
total debt was ₹25,000 crore. This debt burden is
putting a strain on the company's finances and
making it difficult to invest in new growth
initiatives.
Future of the company: The future of Future
Group is uncertain. The company is currently in
talks with Reliance Retail to sell its retail assets. If
these talks are successful, it will be a major
setback for Future Group. However, if the talks
fail, the company will need to find a way to
restructure its debt and improve its financial
performance.
Overall, the 5-year annual report study of Future
Group paints a bleak picture. The company is
facing a number of challenges, including declining
profitability, declining business operations, and a
high debt burden. The future of the company is
uncertain, and it will need to take significant steps
to turn things around.
