INTRODUCTION
Drones are the advanced unmanned aerial vehicles which have versatile applications. They
are used for the purpose of aerial surveying also referred as Drone mapping.
HISTORY :
British Meteorologist E.D. Archibald in the year 1882.
Principle: Remote Sensing & Surveying.
DRONE SUVEYING ?
A drone survey refers to the use of a drone, or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), to capture a
number of geotag images with downward-facing sensors, such as RGB or multispectral
cameras, and LIDAR payloads.
DRONE MAPPING:
It the process of taking pictures from the air and using software to digitally
“stitch” them together into a 3D map of a worksite.
OBJECTIVE
To generate 2D maps and 3D model of a surveyed area.
