LITERATURE

 was derived from Latin word literatura which means “ writing formed with letters”, also
literatus which means “learning, a writing grammar”, originally from littera which
literally means “acquaintance with letters” (Mark, 2009)
 is the body of written works produced in a particular language, country, or age, or the body
of writings on a particular subject ( scientific, art, etc.)
 can be defined as “written artistic works especially those with a high and lasting artistic
value (Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Ductionary, n. d.)
 covers both oral and written forms of works which manifest expressive or imaginative
quality, nobility of thoughts, timeliness, and lastly, universality.

 is also described as for having an excellent form which the expression of permanent and
universal ideas can be established aesthetically (as cited by Baronda, 2016, p. 17)
 is a body of work, either written, oral, or visual, containing imaginative language that
