What is The project

For This project, we chose option 2, which was creating an online retail database.

We created tables for customers, address information, order details, product details, purchase details,
and credit card details. This includes columns for product names, the current stock, backorder dates,
what products are being purchased at what quantity, also any discount percentages.
What we did

We First created an EER diagram and forward engineered the database. Then filled it with data and
created the database
Q1 What is the best selling product?

We found that the Ceramic

personal heater was the best selling
product
Q2 What items Take the longest to ship?
We found that the Ceramic
portable heater had the
longest shipping time.
Q3 What customers are waiting on backorders?

We found that there were no

products out of stock, so no one
was waiting on a back order
Q4 How much shipping has been charged?

There has been $1803.14 charged in

shipping this year
Q5 What state has the most in sales?

California has the most in sales

RDO Distribution: $7,065.17
The world Distribution: $16,267.00
U.S.A Distribution: $23,118.89
MT Distribution: $18,970.73
A&Z Distribution: $15,294.96
Tech & All Distribution: $11,284.72
What we learned

This project was an interesting dive into what it is like creating a large scale database. It was fun
discussing how we should go about implementing the tables as well as creating the data. The questions
were a good way to showcase what we have learned throughout the semester as well as challenging
what we know.
