Technical Diagrams

Schematic Diagram
• Used to describe a high level functioning of a system or a process.
They simplify and facilitate communication by visualizing the
relationship between system and objects and making them more
obvious.
Block Diagram
• A specialized, high-level flowchart used in engineering. It is used to
design new system or to described and improve existing ones.
• Provides a high-level overview of major system components.
• A key process participants and important working relationships
Series and Parallel
circuits
Series circuit
•  is a circuit in which resistors are arranged in a chain, so the current
has only one path to take. The current is the same through each
resistor.
•  the sum of the voltages consumed by each individual resistance is
equal to the source voltage.
Parallel circuit
• parallel are connected along multiple paths so that the current can
split up; the same voltage is applied to each component.
• is a closed circuit in which the current divides into two or more paths
before recombining to complete the circuit. Each load connected in a
separate path receives the full circuit voltage, and the total circuit
current is equal to the sum of the individual branch currents.
