Mineral Resource-Definition
• Mineral Resource: Concentration of inorganic,
naturally occurring, typically solid, non-
renewable material with a practical use. A
mineral is a naturally sourced, solid chemical
compound with a crystalline structure.
Minerals are also categorized based on their
unique physical properties, such as: a. Colour,
b. Density, c. Lustre, d. Streak, e. Cleavage & f.
Hardness.
Power Resources-Definition
• The resources which are necessary for the
generation of energy are called ‘Power
resources’. It is essential for economic
development and improving the standard of
living of the people in a country. They play a
major role in the development of industry,
agriculture, commerce, transport and
communications etc. On the basis of their
nature power resources can be divided as
