Visage (noun)

- The face; appearance

For example:
Raven wore a grim visage yesterday.
Race(singular) races(plural) - noun, this word can mean two
things.

1: meaning a group of people from a certain ethnicity, or a group of


people who are descendants of a culture.
2: a competition where means of transport, people, or animals test
who is the fastest by moving to a certain point as fast as they can

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students can:
• describe comprehensively each type of relative
pronoun as connecting devices through
combining two clauses;
• discuss intrinsically the importance of learning
correct connecting device in a sentence through
oral recitation; and
• determine correctly the required relative
pronoun through sentence completion.
ACTIVITY
“CLAUSEly CONNECTED”

Direction: Combine the following pairs of sentences


using pronouns. The underlined word in each pair of
sentence is to be replaced by the pronoun.

Example:
Sentences: The man is my uncle. You met him
yesterday.

Answer: The man whom you met yesterday is my


uncle.

1. Gerry is my professor. He impressed you when you met
