II.

Geographic Overview
Fire District II comprises four (4) highly urbanized cities, the
CAMANAVA which has a combined total of 259 barangays.

(1) The City of Caloocan is divided into two (2) geographic locations;
• South Caloocan is composed of 24 barangays with an area of
1,362.50 hectares, while
• North Caloocan has 164 barangays with an area of 3,970.90 hectares.
The two (2) political boundaries (South and North) Caloocan has a
combined land area of 5,333.40 hectares with a total of 188 barangays.
Caloocan City is a 1st class highly urbanized city with a population
of 1,583,978 making it the 4th most populous city in the Philippines.

(2) The City of Malabon has a total land area of 1,576.79
hectares. It is divided into 21 barangays. It has a population of
365,525 and likewise considered as most densely populated city,
because of its low lying flat terrain, makes it prone to frequent
flooding.(source: 2015 census)

(3) The City of Navotas lies between Manila Bay and Dagat-
dagatan lagoon opposite of Caloocan City. It is considered as an
important fishing center for the Metropolis and has the third
largest fish port in Asia and the largest in Southeast Asia.
Navotas City is composed of 18 barangays with an estimated
total land area of 1,069 hectares.

(4) The City of Valenzuela is the 13th most populous city. It has
a total land area of 445,900 hectares and is composed of 33
barangays. Valenzuela emerges as a top manufacturing hub
enabling it to earn as the reputation of being an “economic
miracle of the decade”.
