Mandatory warehouse Coverage Dimension not specified

• Master scheduling error log seems

to be saying the same thing
• The errors seem the same, but are
actually pointing to two different
pieces
How does this occur?
Path: Product information management-Setup-Dimension groups-Storage dimension groups
Site specific order settings
• Must set supply and demand warehouses by site for the item
• Path-Product information management-Release products^Manage
inventory-Site specific order settings
Resource consumption (demand)
• Bill of Material Setup
• Even if you have a warehouse set for demand at the site level, this
setting mandates you must set a warehouse at the resource level for
demand consumption (hierarchy)

Scheduling Processes
• If any exist, delete them!
Run “Delete Plan”
• Run Delete Plan for your Static and, if utilizing, Dynamic Plan codes
View Planned Orders Form
• Check for each master plan code
• If orders still exist that are not status Approved, delete them

• Why do these orders not delete when I run Delete Plan?

• Doesn’t a full regeneration remove all unapproved orders?
Open the AOT
• Find ReqPO table and Open
• Delete all recrods remaining orders where ReqPOStatus=Unprocessed
Plan Versions
• These remaining orders are attached to different “record version” of a
plan code that is not the active record version
• Do not Delete from this table
Repeat these steps periodically
• This will help ensure master planning runs clean
• Always pay attention to your MRP error log
• Periodic based on your volume
• Clear failed plan executions
• Delete plans
• Clear remaining ReqPOs
• Run Regeneration over night
Planned Purchase Order Dates are Wrong

• Using master planning for min/max or safety stock and the lead times
are entered, but they are not being considered by net requirements?
Item Coverage when setting minimum
• By default, fulfill minimum principle is “Today’s Date”
Your planned order will not include lead time
Solutions
• Change fulfill principle for the item coverage or change default in
AOT
• Use Futures dates as requirements dates
• Either solution will work
Change Fulfill Minimum Principle

• Path – Product Information Management- Released Products ^Plan –
Item Coverage
• No Global setting
• Done in AOT as default change
• Utilize use futures date as required date
