Exportation Process

• To export products into the United States AMAUR has to:

• Identify an American firm/Individual to do business with and complete an invoice for the value of the products to be
shipped.
• Contact a local customs broker to fill out the requisite customs entry which should include item descriptions, invoiced
value, XCH2, HS code, and mode of transportation among other documentation.
• Documentation is passed to the customs department and upon approval (with proof of fee/duty payments) the export
shipment is packaged, with proper labeling and a certificate of origin affixed and visible for inspection in the US.
• The shipment is then packed onto the mode of transportation (American Airlines Freight) and sent to the US.
• In the US, the package must be inspected and is held until the required documents are filled out by a US customs broker.
• Once the product is released, to an individual/shipping company it is then ready for sale.
Marketing Mix

• The company is providing African-style handbags and accessories for sale in a

growing afro-centric market.
• A nationalistic appeal can be made by changing the packaging to more reflect the
Belizean culture.
• Sales should be more beneficial going into Los Angeles, where there is a large
Belizean population.
• Marketing will be improved by increasing the company’s exposure with a new and
modern website.
• Prices for the product should be approximately US$100.00 for larger handbags and
accessories and US$70.00 for the smaller clutches and accessories given the
current and projected price of the services involved in exportation.
