INTERIM PRESENTATION
RADIO INTERFERENCE VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR THE
MEASUREMENT OF CORONA

RADIO INTERFERENCE THEORY

• If not controlled, radio interference (RI) from electric power transmission line hardware
poses severe electromagnetic interference to nearby systems.
• Thus, investigating the characteristics and prediction methods for radio interference may
have a particular guiding significance.
• These discharges might not show a glow discharge depending on their position and
intensity.
• Partial discharges typically happen in gaps, cracks, or interfaces within that insulating
system or from the sharp edges of electrified apparatus elements.
PARTIAL DISCHARGES REPRESENTATION

• Due to the fact that partial discharges are related to getting old of a cable, charge
measurement of PDs is useful.
• When a cable sample has an internal defect or a surface defect, a practical scheme can
give a representation of the situation as shown in the figure:
EXPERIMENTAL TEST SETUP
EXPERIMENTAL TEST SETUP THEORY

• Firstly, the cable must be disconnected at

both ends.
• One end is then used for measurement
purposes and the other is open-circuited.
The choice is arbitrary.
• The measurement end also acts as the input
for the high voltage AC supply since, having
been disconnected from its inherent supply,
an external supply must be connected.

PROJECT PLAN

• For a project to be successful and on time, a project plan should be prepared.

• A project plan may be presented in a chart format an example of a project plan is shown:

ECONOMIC PLAN

• The economic plan comprises of: Labour costs, component costs and breakdown analysis.
• This section is used to determine how much money should be spent on the project.
• It also entails selling 100 units for a set price and calculating weather the project will
make a loss or a profit.
