Johnsons great society

The main goals was that The Great Society was a set of domestic policy initiatives, programs, and legislation that were introduced
in the 1960s in the U.S. These policies were intended to reduce poverty levels, reduce racial injustice, reduce crime, and
improve the environment. Great Society policies were launched by then-President Lyndon B. He also accomplished After taking
office, he won passage of a major tax cut, the Clean Air Act, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. After the 1964 election, Johnson
passed even more sweeping reforms. The Social Security Amendments of 1965 created two government-run healthcare
programs, Medicare and Medicaid.He was also able to make some major changes like, Johnson's Great Society
programs reduced poverty by reforming healthcare, environmental, immigration, and education policies. ... The differences
between the New Frontier and the Great Society were the decreases in poverty and the increase in the standard of living for
all Americans.
