RIZAL LAW
A course on the life, works, ideas, and ideals of Jose Rizal which aims
to provide students an in-depth appreciation of Rizal’s contributions
to the building of Filipino nationhood. The course involves the
critical and analytical discussion of Rizal in the context of Philippine
history.

• The Rizal Law, officially designated as Republic Act No. 1425, is a


Philippine law that mandates all educational institutions in the
Philippines to offer courses about José Rizal.

• The Rizal Law, in any case, was emphatically restricted by


the Catholic Church in the Philippines, much appreciated to the
anti-clerical subjects that were pertinent in Rizal's books Noli Me

because Dr. Jose P. Rizal plays a significant role in the
heritage and history of the Philippines. Rizal’s literary
novels immortalize life in the Philippines during the
Spanish era and the strong desire for freedom and
independence.
What are the qualities of hero?
 Heroes are those who have a concept of nation, and aspire and struggle
for the nation’s freedom.

 Heroes define and contribute to a system or life of freedom and order for
a nation.

 Heroes contribute to the quality of life and destiny of a nation.

 Heroes are part of the people’s expression.

 Heroes think of the future, especially of the future generations.

 The choice of heroes involves the entire process that made a particular
person a hero.
