How long we shall live?

• Postpandemic, medical experts have clearly

stated that these days younger generation is
more vulnerable to cardiovascular diseases
than others.
• Medical news statistics show around 50% of
the population in India goes through a heart
attack before age 55. The Indian population
has fallen prey to sudden heart attacks at a
younger age.
What is heart failure?

• Heart failure means that heart can't pump

enough oxygen-rich blood to meet your body's
needs.
• Heart failure doesn't mean that heart has
stopped or is about to stop beating. But
without enough blood flow, your organs may
not work well, which can cause serious
problems.

Conditions that can cause heart failure include:

•Arrhythmia (a problem with the rate or rhythm of your heartbeat)

•Endocarditis
•Heart attack
•Heart valve diseases
•High blood pressure
•A blood clot in your lung
•Diabetes
•Certain severe lung diseases, such as
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
•Obesity
Symptoms of heart failure may include:
• Feeling short of breath (like you can't get enough air)
when you do things like climbing stairs. This may be one
of the first symptoms you notice.
• Fatigue or weakness even after rest.
• Coughing.
• Swelling and weight gain from fluid in your ankles,
lower legs, or abdomen (belly).
• Difficulty sleeping when lying flat.

Facts of Heart Disease
• 17.9 million people are estimated to have died as a
result of heart diseases in 2019 contributing 32% of
the global deaths
• a patient dies from heart-related complications every
36 seconds
• amounting to a total of about 6,59,000 deaths
annually.
There is a subsequent need to develop a system for
cardiovascular disease monitoring, prediction and
diagnosis.
