WHAT IS IT?
Coronary heart disease is also known as CAD and it’s a type of
heart disease that appears when the arteries of the heart cannot
deliver enough oxygen blood to the heart. Τo be more specific it
is a threatening and dangerous condition where the major blood
vessels supplying the heart are narrowed.
WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF IT?
• is often caused by some injuries which affect the way arteries
work in the heart
• Diseases
• smoke
•  high blood pressure
• High cholesterol
• high levels of lipoprotein (a)
• no regular exercise
• have diabetes
• Obesity
• family history of CAD
SYMPTOMS
• chest pain that spreads slowly all over your body
• Short breath
• Nausea
• Sweating
• Tiredness
• Weakness
• Dizziness
• Fast heartbeat
• It can maybe cause a heart attack
• Symptoms of coronary heart disease can be
different from person to person even if they have
the same type of coronary heart disease.
However, because many people have no
symptoms, they do recognize that they have
coronary heart disease until they have chest pain
or a heart attack.

disease is, the severity of your symptoms, and any
other health conditions you may have

• healthy eating plan (fruits, vegetables)

• Quit smoking
• Good quality sleep

• procedures such as  coronary artery bypass grafting(small
surgery which is done to improve poor blood flow to the
heart
• manage the blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure
levels
