Governance
 Organizational governance is a holistic approach
encompassing an organization's processes, standards,
rules, and practices.

 It guides operations, administration, ethics, risk


management, compliance, and more.

 Organizational governance surround an organization's


processes, standards, rules, and practices, guiding
operations and administration in a holistic approach.
Examples of corporate governance in action
include:

 A board of directors discusses the potential risks


and rewards associated with a decision.
 Acquisition or merger
 conducting employee assessments
Human Rights

 Are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex,


nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status.

 Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from
slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the work
to work and education, and many more.
Labour Practices

 These are practices that affect employee hiring and promotion,


remuneration, disciplinary action, complaint response system,
transfers and reassignment, termination of employment, human
resources development, occupational safety and health, and
working conditions (working hours and remuneration).

 Bearing in mind that all corporate activities are made possible


through the labor of employees, protecting the basic rights of
workers is something that is very important for both companies
and society.
The Environment

The organization is responsible for reducing and eliminating


unsustainable volumes and patterns of production and consumption
to ensure that resource consumption per person is efficient and
sustainable.

Key issues relating to the environment include:


 Prevention of pollution
 Sustainable resource use
 Climate change mitigation and adaptation
 Protection of the environment, biodiversity, and restoration of natural habitats
Fair Operating Practices

 Building systems of fair competition, preventing corruption, encouraging


fair competition, and promoting the reliability of fair business practices
help to build sustainable social systems.

 Key issues related to fair operating practices include:


 Anti-corruption
 Responsible political involvement
 Fair competition
 Promoting social responsibility in the value chain
 Respect for property rights
Consumer Issues
 Examples of common consumer issues
are:
