Ways to Protect your Cells

1. Maintain a healthy weight – Avoid being overweight and

underweight.
2. Physical Activity- Be active every day for 30 minutes.
3. Energy Density- Limit the consumption of sugar and energy-
dense food, particularly processed foods.
4. Plant foods- Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans.
5. Meat- Limit consumption of red meat such as beef, pork and
lamb.
6. Alcohol- Limit the consumption of alcohol.
7. Salt- Limit the consumption of salt and processed food with salt.
8. Smoking- Do not smoke or chew tobacco.
The following are ways of conserving our biosphere on a local scale.
Organisms may start taking care of themselves from the basic unit of life
(cell) that significantly affects their whole being. However, interaction
with other living and nonliving things require additional ways to take
care of biological organization.

1. Teach others about the importance of the environment and how they
can help save rainforests.
2. Restore damaged ecosystems by planting trees on land where forests
have been cut down.
3. Encourage people to live in a way that does not hurt the environment.
4. Establish parks to protect rainforests and wildlife.
5. Support activities that operate in ways that minimize damage to the
environment.
