CHAPTER ONE
1. INTRODUCTION
Back ground of organization
The office has its own mission, visions and objectives, rules and regulation,
values and different strategies to achieve its goals.
The woreda works hard using its resources efficiently and effectively to improve
the productivity of the peoples which are live in loka woreda,state, to establish
sustainable economic development in the country, to improve the living Standard
of the society and to maximize customer’s satisfaction.
Currently the organization has many sectors e.g. admistration sectors, and good
governance sectors, planning and economic commission sectors, government
communication affairs sectors, women’s, children and youth affairs
sectors,education sectors, , irrigation sectors, agricultural and natural resource
sectors, water, mineral and energy sectors, transport sectors, health sectors and
justice of security sectors, etc.

The following are loka woreda finance office missions.
 Practice Modern system to material control , financial
administration and auditing system.
 Develop new idea to improve economic policy and other idea
for economic use.
 Working courage to develop the economy of the woreda.
 Training for sustainable economic development.

Visions are the open decision and power to enforce the office work hard, set the

Basically the Organizations was organized to achieve the following points:
 To improve the integrated participation of society in economic plans and its
explains their comments in sustainable way up to 90%.
 To ensure value for money audit through accountability and transparency.
 To improve socio-economic development.
 To compile macro-economic indicators in order to monitor economic
activities.
 To ensure equitable resource allocation.
General Objective of the organization:-
The overall objective of the finance and economic development office is to
increase the income of household and enhance resilience to market change
through market linkage and improve nutritional status of targeted household
through targeted and evidence based intervention .
Specific objective of the organization
 To show the budget utilization and problem faced with budget
preparation.
 To identify and describe the budget controlling system.
the organization has it’s own structure
Each department are accountable and responsible to head office and
interrelated with each other. The manager has coordinated the overall
activities approve each activities undertaken in the organization, made
agreement with the management body of the organization and made critical
decision .
CHAPTER TWO
2. ACTIVITY REPORT
Background of the department
Budgeting, Planning, monitoring, and evaluation department
(BPMED):
 The department has performs its activities by using all means to
satisfying the current needs of the society and to achieve its goals
which provides effective development and good governance in the
bureaus well as in the Zone.
Purchasing, Resource and Financial Administration Department
 The performances of this department are checking the efficiency and
effectiveness of the cashier management, designs and implementing
the Zone asset
Major Responsibilities and Activities of the Department
 Prepare long terms indicative plans with the view to encourage the
participation of private sector
 Collect monthly, quarterly and annually report from different sector of
the Zone and evaluate them. Reports those data to zone of the state.
 Allocate budget and administer them in accordance with government
rule and regulation.
 Preparing methods that will improve the level of customers
satisfaction.
 Prepare the bases of the regions development strategy long, middle and
short term development plans and projects.
 Finding solution for the problem in the department that hinder its
mission and object.

 Honesty to the department.
 Following and respecting the rule and regulation of the
organization.
 Accomplish my work on time.
 Checkingg for the correct application of theories in real world.
 Keeping the secret of the organization.
During the practical attachment I have good attitude forward to my
professional training, making peace and co-related to other
employees. I am satisfied at their responsiveness to work in group
and cooperatively with all employees and my supervisor
appreciable.
Problem Encountered On the Job and Remedial Measures I Have Taken
I have face the following problems during practical attachment
 Lack of well-organized documentation was one of the problems in the process of
searching for the necessary documents.
 There was no enough computer technology and internet access that enables.
effective functioning.
 Lack of electric power base.
 Lack of commitment and cooperation from some staff.
 Newness for employees and customers.
Remedial measures I have taken
 I try to references different document from different department.
 My supervisor helped me on some difficult tasks.
 They have use generators power when electrics power is left.
CHAPTER THREE
3. SWOT ANALYSIS
Strength of the organization
 Good personal relationship between employees of the organization to reach its goals.

 The prevalence of modern technology and information system.

 The existence of well hierarchical working system.

Weakness of the organization


 Low level of giving services for customers to reduce their comment.

 Low level of evaluation method.

 Shortages of tangible information at time needed.

 Time management problem esp. on their punctuality, even their manager.

Opportunity of the Organization
 The improvement of well-educated manpower.
 The growth of active community participation.
 The expansion and growth of financial institution.
Treats of the Organization
 High rate of population growth has great effects on food security and poverty.
 Wide spread of Corona viruse and other transmission diseases.
 The existence of inflation.
 Poor infrastructure like road and etc. are obstacles to development.
CHAPTER FOUR

4.ATTACHMENT EVALUATION
Relevance of organization and my activities
As the organization finance and economic Cooperation stands for
rendering financial service for government and non-government
organization which aimed at utilizing resource and customer satisfaction;
this nature of organization makes it highly related with my department
economics.
I was Economics student my study deals with how the world communities
maximize and minimize cost through effectively and efficiently their
resources.

KNOWELEDGE GAINED
The purchasing and financing department accomplishes its mission by carrying out
its duties and responsibilities. The following knowledge has been acquired during
my practical attachment:-
 How to protecting the organization against to unfair or unethical trade practices.
 How to maintaining the relationship with the suppliers that service the
organization.
 How to providing value added to goods or services.
 How to coordinating the purchasing goods or services for all function of the
organization.
 How to obtaining and realize maximum value from the expenditure of the
organization funds in the purchase of goods or service.
CHAPTER FIVE
CONCLUSION
 The organization has its own strong and weak side as well as a good opportunity and
treats that may improve or hinders the organization to achieve its goals.
 Furthermore there are problems in the organization and the solutions were raised to
minimize those problems.
 Budgeting, Planning, monitoring and evaluation department is one of the
departments in the organization which I was assigned to take my Two month
practical attachment.
 The specific activities I was done in the organization is collecting, organizing ,and
writing monthly and quarterly report, checking the allocation of budget for different
activities and etc.
 After all this practical attachment ends by forwarding that it should be alleviate its
weakness and capitalize its strength.
RECOMMENDATION
 It’s recommended to Solve its weakness and to keep with its
strength, capitalize and internalize the external opportunities in
different ways, to improve its management works.
 Besides this those poor and low income earners have to participate
in development strategies of the government.
 And as much as possible the document in the organization should
be prepared not only in sidamic but also it should be in English in
order to fulfill the need of external users such as students that are
coming from higher education level and this may reduce the
problems that face any users, especially, for those who don’t read
Sidamic language.
