Science soap making (melt)

Rafee
What I made

• Melt and pour soap

Glycerin

Soap mold

Ingridients Purified water

Vegetable oil

Food colouring
Natural and chemical ingridients
• Chemical= Glycerin and white dye
• Natural= blue dye (food coloring), vegetable oil, and purified water.
Steps on making
• 1. cut the glycerin cube into smaller
individual cubes and place it in the
microwave in high and keep doing it
until it melts
• 2. when it melts separate the glycerin
into two forms one is colored white
and the other one is mixed with blue
dye
• 3. pour the blue soap into the soap
mold once it freezes quickly pour the
white soap into the blue soap and
repeat it until it is 4 layered
Error/correcting
• At first the soap kind of mixed with each other like this =

• Then I troubleshoot it by adding more color and quickly pouring the

melted soap into the freezer, so it melts quickly, and it became like
this=
The final product

• This product does not use essential oil

which makes it odorless because the
main reason is I don’t want to risk it
having a weird smell, but I have
perfected the colors and the layers within
the soap making the soap more
attractive.
• Characteristics= friendly, usable, cured,
melted soap and layered with different
colours, has a vegetable smell into it
How my product relates to my planning
• My product relates to my planning in terms of making and I am quite
happy with the results only I didn’t get to use the essential oil
because I think that the vegetable oil has quite a strong essential
smell into the product, I guess I should’ve used green for the color
instead of blue so it matches the vegetable oil smell.
