Understanding Research Backgrounds & Gaps

The research background section introduces the general context of the study by describing the subjects and history of the research topic. It provides an overview for readers to understand the chosen issue. This includes briefly discussing relevant numbers to establish the background, such as COVID cases globally and locally, and the pandemic's social, environmental, financial, and behavioral effects. The research gap is an issue not fully addressed by previous studies that requires further research.

Research

Background
The research background is the first section
of your research. It introduces the important
facets that establish the general context
where your study revolves. This part may
include the description of the subjects of the
study or the history involving the research. It
provides the reader an avenue to understand
your topic or the issue that you have chosen
(Barrot, 2017).
To establish the background of the study, you need to
discuss several aspects by describing your topic. For
instance, you may provide a brief overview on the
number of COVID cases from the global, national or
local settings. You may also discuss the effect of
pandemic in social, environmental, financial and
behavioral aspects
Research Gap
