OBJECTIVES: The student should be able to describes background of research.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

It is evident that in giving a background of a study, there is a need for to


understand the nature of the problem or issues, the extent of the problem or issue – is it
really a problem or issue? Who are affected? Who benefited? We should justify the
need to address the issue. To be able to do that, there is a need to elaborate the
different aspects of the research setting showing in depth and critical analysis of the
situation like what we have just done.
To check whether the background in comprehensive for a research study, follow
the checklist below:
