Objectives: At the end of this module, the students can:
 Design a research project related to daily life.
 Write a research title.
 Formulate a clear statement of the problem.
 Cite the significance of the research.
 Write the scope and delimitation of the research.

Data analysis and writing the interpretation, conclusion, and recommendation of their
previous activity with the phenomenon, the dwindling attendance of the students in coming
to school.

Assignment: Prepare a list of topics/phenomena based on your field of interest.

 Design a research project related to daily life.
I.Introduction
A. Activating Prior Knowledge
Now that you have your topic for your qualitative research, you can now formulate your
research problems. You have to formulate a general problem and at least three specific
problems. The specific problems can be studied in question form. For example:

General Problem: The study aims to explore the students’ images and views on chemistry.

Specific Problems:
1. What are the students images on chemistry based on their drawings?
2. What are the students’ views on chemistry?
3. What learning theories are embedded on these images?

Processing:
1. What do you observe in the formulation of problems?
2. Does the general problem give the overview of the research? What does it mean?
3. Why should you specify the problem?

2. How are general problem and specific research problems formulated?
3. What is the importance of the research problem in the entire research problems?
