Neutral
Buoyancy is;
 The equal tendency of
an object to sink or
float.
 Even a heavy object can
be easily manipulated.
 Suited astronauts are
not truly weightless.
The main technological
difference of space and
ocean exploration

The main difference is;

in space, you are trying
to keep pressure inside
your vehicle and
underwater you are
trying to keep pressure
out.
Deepest point of the ocean:
Mariana Trench

A catchy story's secret is more
complicated than we think
 Mars Curiosity Rover in 2012 by NASA
• In a mission that successfully landed a robot on
Mars. This success has spread around the world.
 James Cameron's trip to Mariana Trench in
2012
• He performed a very dangerous mission to the
bottom of the Mariana Trench.
• He was the third person who had done that in
human history.
Differences in
perspectives to
the ocean and
space
1) Space stories are
generally positive;
ocean stories are v
generally negative.
2) Space stories do not
have a call to action.
Ocean stories often
have a call to action.
3) Space
exploration is better
translated into
public language,
while ocean
research remains
mostly scientific.
4) Space movies
have ''cool''
technologies.
In contrast, modern
ocean movies generally
take place on
submarines or ships.
Let's take a look at
one of the wonderful
underwater devices!
Why should we discover the ocean more?

It can potentially reveal new sources.

Information from the deep oceans can also help to forecast
some natural events.
It can help us understand how we are affecting the Earth's
environment.
We need to inspire the public for ocean
research for the sake of everyone.
