goal, the changes and hurdles to anticipate, and utilization of
resources and opportunities to reach the expected outcome.

3. ORGANIZING – establishing effective authority relationships


among selected work, people, and work places in order for the
group to work together efficiently; also process of dividing

- Organization can be seen as either an open system, where
it interacts with its external environment, or a closed

6. Theory X and Theory Y


- American Social Psychologist Douglas McGregor Theory X and
Theory Y.
* Theory X – the assumption is that employees dislike work,
are lazy, dislike responsibility, and must be coerced to
perform.
* Theory Y – the assumption is that employees like work, are
creative, seek responsibility, and can exercise self-direction.
