WHAT DO WE OFFER?

 Non-renewable grant for 12 months


 Stipend
 $30,000 for master’s level research & doctoral research
(i.e.$2,500/month)
 $50,000 for post-doctoral research (i.e. $4,166/month)

REQUIREMENTS

 Belgian nationality

 Affiliated to a Belgian university

 An official invitation letter from a US university or research center

 Year in which you obtained your Bachelor’s degree or PhD

HOW TO RESEARCHERS

APPLY
Contact various US universities or research centers
Three simultaneous
actions: start early!

Choose the best one and ask for a letter of invitation for a
period of 12 months ( min 9 mnths)

Look for financial support (BAEF, Fulbright, Fernand Lazard


Foundation, FNRS, FWO , Wbi etc…)

professors, the university international
relation office, your friends, BAEF’s
Alumni and office, ...)
 Letters of recommendation: personalized,
detailed and diverse. Follow them up.
 Interviews: Learn how to pitch your project
simply and clearly (check whether your
university organizes mock interviews).
