INTRODUCTION - SPEED CONTROL OF DC MOTOR

 A DC motor is defined as a class of electrical motors that convert direct current

electrical energy into mechanical energy.
 Speed control is the intentional adjustment of the drive speed of a DC motor.
 The motor speed can be controlled manually or through an automatic device.
 Speed control is different from speed regulation, which involves maintaining a
constant speed despite changes in load.
WHY SPEED CONTROL IS IMPORTANT?

 DC motors require precise speed control in various applications.

 Precise control of motor speed is essential for achieving accuracy and
consistency in many applications.
 By controlling the motor speed, the application can operate more
efficiently.
 Controlling the motor enables the application to operate at different
load.
 Motor speed control can increase safety and save operating cost.

CONCLUSION

 In Controlling the speed of a DC motor is vital for high-performance applications.

MOSFET-based speed control is an effective and efficient method to achieve precise
control over the motor's speed. MOSFET's advantages, such as low on-resistance,
high current handling capacity, and fast switching speeds, make it a suitable option
for many industrial applications. Successful implementation of MOSFET-based speed
control has opened up new opportunities for optimized performance and efficient
operation of various systems. Further research and development in this area will lead
to more advanced and efficient technologies, benefiting industries worldwide.
