 Background
• Low back pain (LBP) is a major contributor to
disability, leading to decreased physical activity
and mobility while can cause significant changes
in health status and quality of life. Understanding
LBP is critical in identifying effective treatments.

 Material and Methods

Samples were collected from patients at the Medical

Rehabilitation Clinic of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital in Banjarmasin
from January 2019 to March 2023. The data were then analyzed
based on age, gender, and type of LBP using x-ray images.

 Discussion
• Individuals aged ≥60 years exhibit the highest prevalence of
LBP, in line with theory that LBP typically occurs between the
ages 80-89.
• Women are more commonly affected by LBP than men,
consistent with global trend indicating higher prevalence of LBP
in females.
• Specific LBP accounts for 54.3% of cases compared to non-
specific LBP's 45.7%, with lumbar HNP being the primary
cause, in accordance with several studies that state lumbar
HNP is the most common cause of specific LBP.

 Conclussion

LBP patients are typically in

their 60s and predominantly
female. Specific LBP due to
lumbar HNP is the most
common type of LBP.
