What is Covid-19?
 An infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.
 Spread from person to person mainly through coughing, sneezing, and
possibly talking and breathing.
 On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with the
virus for symptoms to show, however it can take up to 14 days.
 Most common symptoms include: Fever, Dry Cough, Tiredness.
 Other symptoms may include: Aches and Pains, Sore throat,
Diarrhoea, Conjunctivitis, Headache, loss of taste or smell, a rash on
skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes.
 Serious symptoms: difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest
pain or pressure, loss of speech or movement.

 Employer:

provide a healthy and safe
workplace free of recognized hazards.
 Employee:
 Shouldparticipate in the development and
implementation of the employer’s health
and safety policies and help ensure that
they are appropriate and implemented.
