 The notification is a technical document used by operations staff to request maintenance / inspection
/repairs to a technical object in a plant.
 No maintenance / inspection/repair operation should be performed without a notification (except the
planned preventive maintenance).

 The malfunction notification (notification type NC) relates to requests for corrective operations (repairs
etc)
 The maintenance request (notification type NG) relates to requests for non-corrective operations
(general operation, engineering assistance work, painting work, crane operation, go-live support, etc..)
 NP Activity Report used in conjunction with Preventative Maintenance Orders (WPM)
 The recommend inspection notification (notification type NI) relates to requests for an inspection.

 The functional locations and equipments are Technical Objects and hold data which is carried down to
the Notifications. Such as:
 Planner group : leading trade.
 A main work centre is in charge of work on the technical object (Functional
Location/Equipment). It is responsible for all operations to be carried out on the corresponding
objects.
